AnonyFishThese Terms of Use govern your use of AnonyFish, an anonymous, text-only discussion service for adults. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. Questions can be sent to the AnonyFish team at support@anony.fish.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accepting these terms in the app and using the service, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 and meet the applicable access requirements. Do not misrepresent your age or bypass age, location, safety, or access controls.
The initial supported markets are the United States and Israel. Features and availability may vary with location, platform, app version, and operational restrictions. Selecting a different interface language does not change your physical country or eligibility.
2. Anonymous installation access
AnonyFish uses an installation identity rather than a conventional user account. Keep your device and installation credentials secure. Clearing storage, changing devices, or reinstalling may affect ownership controls and access to previously submitted content. There is no public identity profile or conventional password-based account recovery.
Other users are not shown your installation identity, but anonymity is not a guarantee that content cannot be linked to a person. We do not verify the identity, claims, age, or intentions of every other participant. Never treat an anonymous post as proof of who someone is.
3. Permission to use the service
Subject to these terms, you may use the app and website for their intended purposes. This permission is personal, limited, and non-exclusive. It does not give you ownership of the software, design, branding, or other AnonyFish materials. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, evade restrictions, or access non-public systems without authorization.
4. What you submit
You are responsible for the content you submit and for having the rights and permissions needed to share it. Do not submit someone else’s private information, infringe intellectual-property rights, or misrepresent another person. Sharing a personal detail may make you identifiable even without a public profile.
You retain any rights you hold in your content. By submitting it, you give the service a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, technically format, and process it as needed to operate the service, deliver conversations, investigate reports, moderate content, and meet applicable obligations. This permission covers necessary service providers and retained copies for those purposes; it does not transfer ownership of your content.
5. Public lifetime and deletion
Posts are designed to leave public view after 24 hours. Their comments are no longer publicly available when the parent post expires. You can remove your own available posts and comments and withdraw your emoji reactions through the app. See the deletion guide.
Public expiry or deletion does not guarantee immediate erasure of restricted records, backups, or copies made by other users. Records may remain for the purposes and periods described in the Privacy Policy, including security, moderation, unresolved reports, legal obligations, and active legal holds. Removing the app does not itself submit a server-side deletion request.
6. Conduct, reports, and blocking
Follow the Community Guidelines. Threats, encouragement of violence, harassment, hate, doxxing, impersonation, exploitation, illegal transactions, spam, scams, malicious links, and targeted abuse of private individuals are prohibited. Do not share private telephone numbers or home addresses. Do not use automation, repeated installation resets, or other methods to evade moderation or disrupt discussions.
You can report posts and comments and block an anonymous participant through content menus. Blocking limits what is shown to your installation; it does not establish the person’s identity or guarantee they cannot appear through another installation. Reports must be made in good faith.
7. Moderation and access restrictions
We may review, hide, remove, or restrict content; limit features; and suspend or ban an installation when necessary to address rule violations, safety concerns, abuse, legal obligations, or operational security. Automated checks and human review may be used. We cannot promise to detect every violation or act immediately.
To ask about a moderation decision, contact support@anony.fish with a relevant content reference or the information available to you. Sensitive details about other people, investigations, or security measures may not be disclosed in a reply.
8. Location and personal safety
Location helps select nearby and country-level discussions. Exact coordinates are not shown to other users, but text and context can reveal a place or person. Avoid posting your whereabouts, routines, private contact details, or information that places someone at risk. Do not rely on the service to determine that another participant is nearby or trustworthy.
AnonyFish is not an emergency service. Reports and email are not emergency channels and may not be read immediately. If you or someone else faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
9. Availability and changes
We may change features, supported areas, technical requirements, or the availability of the service, and may interrupt access for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, continued availability of a particular feature, or recovery of expired content.
10. Intellectual-property complaints
Send complaints to legal@anony.fish. Identify the work or right concerned, the specific content and reference if available, why you believe it is unauthorized, and a reliable way to contact you. Include only information needed to assess the complaint. Additional verification may be requested; a complaint does not automatically establish infringement.
11. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent applicable law permits, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or complete anonymity. User content may be inaccurate, offensive, or misleading. You remain responsible for decisions you make based on it.
To the extent applicable law permits, liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service is excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes a mandatory consumer right, or prevents you from seeking a remedy available under applicable law. These limits apply only where and to the extent they are enforceable.
12. Updates and contact
We may revise these terms. The effective date and version identify the current text. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service notice or policy acceptance step where required. You may stop using the service if you do not accept an update.
